Puma won't be unveiling any new boot silos or major updates to any of its boot silos ahead of the World Cup and that's OK because the brand's two modern boots, the evoSPEED and evoPOWER (a very good boot by our account), still have time to go in their respective update cycles. Puma are not just letting things lie, however. Instead, the company is releasing new colorways for both of its boots that are the same as each other but different on opposite feet.
Puma doubles the colors, fun with new evoSPEED and evoPOWER colorways

Puma's World Cup footballers will wear light blue on their left foot and pink on their right in a release that the company has dubbed "Tricks." Puma say that the new boot was made for "the unbelievable at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. The new PUMA ‘Tricks' boots and their unusual look represent the unshakable confidence of players who wear them, and evoke their potential to do the unbelievable."
Speaking about the new boots in a release from Puma, Cesc Fabregas said:
“Like all Spanish players I am so excited to go to the World Cup in Brazil and these boots will make a statement. I’ve played in evoPOWER since January and it is such a good boot. We believe we can go far in the tournament, and I like that these colorful boots will accompany me on our journey.”
Sergio Aguero added:
“I am always happy to stand out on the pitch. Usually I try to do so by scoring a goal, but why not play safe and wear an unusual pair of football boots? Jokes aside, I love my evoSPEED boots in these crazy colors and I cannot wait to go to Brazil, I really believe this will be a big moment for me.”
Mario Balotelli also had some comments:
“I have to be honest, the first time I saw the Tricks boots, I thought the PUMA guy was mad. But when I realized he wasn’t, I was already excited. The evoPOWER looks cool in these special colors it is definitely unique. And in the end, it is exactly the reason why I chose to be with PUMA, they dare to be different and everyone knows that I do as well.”
The new colorway will be worn by Marco Reus, Mario Balotelli, Cesc Fàbregas, Sergio Agüero, Radamel Falcao,Olivier Giroud, Gianluigi Buffon, Yaya Touré, Olivier Giroud, Santi Cazorla, and more. Fans should expect to see the new boots make their debut in tonight's Europa League final between Sevilla and Benfica before featuring in this weekend's FA Cup Final between Arsenal and Hull City.
