With just a mere two weeks until the World Cup kicks off at the Arena de São Paulo in São Paulo, the countdown to the show is most definitely on. adidas are jumping to the end of the campaign by officially unveiling the ball that the teams that make it through the whole tournament will use in the Final at the Estádio do Maracanã in Rio on the 13th of July.
adidas unveil World Cup Final ball: brazuca Final Rio

The new ball, dubbed the brazuca Final Rio, is essentially the fantastic brazuca ball that we first saw in the winter with a new coat of paint. Getting rid of the blue, red, and green color streaks, the Final Rio ball instead goes for a green and gold motif to mirror the trophy that 32 nations will play for this summer.
Final Rio is based on the same ball that went through two-and-a-half years of testing before its reveal last December. adidas used over 600 players and 30 clubs in 10 countries for the testing process, grabbing some 280 of those (1/3 of which were not contracted to adidas) for perception testing to make sure that everything about the ball was right.
The brazuca Final Rio goes on sale later this week and will retail at $160.
