Parma's appeal against FIGC's decision to deny their UEFA license over missed tax payments has been denied by the High Court of Sport Justice, all but ending their hopes of playing in the Europa League next season.

Parma’s joy from the season’s final day has been erased after an appeal against the FIGC’s decision to deny them a UEFA license was turned down.

The decision was announced on Thursday, a day after club officials expressed confidence that their appeal of the initial ruling would be overturned. Despite making the outstanding tax payment, it appears that the Italian Football Federation was not convinced enough to change their minds.
Without a UEFA license from the FIGC, Parma will be unable to participate in the Europa League, meaning Torino are now set to take over Parma's place in the tournament.
Parma earned the spot thinks to a 2-0 victory over Livorno on the final day of the Serie A season that allowed them to jump over Torino into 6th place.
The club can make another appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, but given past decisions by the TAS in similar cases, Parma’s chances of getting a ruling in their favor seem slim.
