Liverpool's unexpected slip-up against Chelsea last weekend has handed the Premier League initiative to Manchester City. With a goal differential eight better than Liverpool's, they would move to the top of the table by winning their game in hand against Aston Villa next Wednesday. That's unless they don't beat Liverpool's crosstown rivals Everton, in what should be a tough game in Saturday's late kickoff.
Everton vs. Manchester City: Preview, TV schedule and how to watch online
The Premier League title race is back in Manchester City’s hands, though Everton could give their crosstown rivals Liverpool a boost by disrupting their charge.

The Toffees are four points adrift of Arsenal heading into the round, with two defeats in their last three allowing the Gunners to move back into the final Champions League spot. The Toffees need at least a point at home to City if they're to stand any chance of overhauling Arsenal, though really could do with picking up all three. Unfortunately for the Citizens, Everton will likely be fighting tooth and nail to reclaim that all-important position.
However, they will be missing a fair chunk of their squad through injury and ineligibility, with Kevin Mirallas the latest to take his place on the physio's table with a groin problem. City loanee Gareth Barry will be unavailable as he's ineligible against his parent club, though Sylvain Distin and his defensive partner Phil Jagielka could both recover in time to play. City will only be without defender Matija Nastasić and winger Jesús Navas.
Everton injuries and suspensions
