Fan goes crazy for his team possibly, maybe not being relegated

Not relegation is a hell of a drug.

Winning a trophy is amazing and met with great excitement and joy. But avoiding relegation is that too, except with months of pent up anger and sadness released in a showing of pure joy.

See: NEC Nijmegen fan celebrating his team’s 88th minute equalizer that kept them from the drop.

The jumping, the fist pumps and all of it with a smile on his face. Richard Simmons would be proud.

But here’s the kicker: NEC haven’t even avoided the drop yet.

Their draw on the final day just kept them from last place and automatic relegation. They still have to play in the relegation playoffs, which could send them down to the second division anyway.

Just imagine how sad this fan would be then :-(.
