AC Milan are no strangers to gold on their kits. I Rossoneri have worn the color on a number of occasions over the last few decades with it appearing on all three of the Serie A club’s kits last season. The adidas stripes on both the home and away kits were both shiny gold while the third shirt was mostly the same color with black and red accents. For 2014/15, the third kit makes a return to the color, albeit in a slightly different shade.
Green & gold for AC Milan’s 2014/15 third kit

AC Milan will, on occasion, wear a kit that pays homage to this summer's World Cup in Brazil. The shirt is predominantly yellowish gold with a forest green stripes on the shoulder, v-neck collar, and sleeve cuffs. The sponsor logo appears in the same color, as does the adidas logo while the sleeves carry red and black accent piping halfway to the shoulder. The shirt will pair with green shorts and white socks. Unlike the home kit, AC Milan's third kit brings back the club's crest in place of St. George's cross.
Speaking about the new kit, Jaap Kalma, the Commercial Director at AC Milan, said:
“The third jersey for next season is particular special as a homage to World Cup in Brazil, a nation with a strong football tradition. Our club has always had a special connection to that nation and this is also a homage to our millions of Brazilian fans who have always shown us immense affection.”
