Ligue 1 side Girondins de Bordeaux have officially unveiled their 2014/2015 home kit, created by Puma and based on the fantastic Italy World Cup 2014 template. The new kit made its debut at an event at the Domaine de Chevalier in Bordeaux with a number of the club’s first teamers modelling the look.

Like Italy’s kits, players will wear the skin-tight model on the field while more forgiving fits for fans will be available as replica models. The shirt features the same oxford-style polo collar that can be found on a number of Puma’s other kits. The collar is the same navy blue color as the rest of the body and features red accents on the inside of the neck. The chest features Bordeaux’s traditional white chevron with a red stroke around it. The sleeves feature red inserts at the cuff.

Perhaps the most striking feature of Bordeaux’s new shirt is the red polka dot-esque detailing on the front. The “dots” are actually small, red grape leaves and serve as a not-so-subtle nod to the region’s rich history of wine production.
The shirt will pair with navy blue shorts that bear red piping on the side and white accents for the Puma logo and player numbers. The socks follow the same pattern.
