Days after revealing their stunning 2014/15 home kit, Aston Villa and Macron have unveiled the club’s very classy white away kit. Like the claret-and-blue primary number, the away kit features a return to pinstripes for Aston Villa for the first time on any Villa kit since 2007/08.
Aston Villa unveil 2014/15 Macron away kit inspired by famous European Cup win
The shirt is primarily white with four thin claret pinstripes running down the front. The collar is a v-neck that with two bands of claret piping that outline the sharp cut of the opening. The inside of the neck features a continuation of that piping while the back of the neck features Aston Villa's gold lion that is in the same spot on both the home and away kits.
The 2014/15 shirt was inspired by the white shirt that Villa wore in their famous 1982 European Cup win over Bayern Munich at De Kuip in Rotterdam. That shit also featured the V-neck and claret pinstripes.
The new top will be paired with claret shorts and and claret-and-white hooped socks. It will make its public debut at Villa’s Kit Launch Festival at Villa Park this weekend and is available for pre-order now. It officially drops in mid-July.
