Uruguay striker Luis Suárez is completing extra shifts in order to be fit for the World Cup, according to his international teammate Cristian Rodríguez. The BBC quoted the Atlético Madrid winger as saying:
Luis Suárez working ‘triple shifts’ to make World Cup
According to his teammate Cristian Rodríguez, Uruguay’s injured star Luis Suárez is completing extra work to return in time for the World Cup.

“[Suárez] is very focused. He is working in double and triple shifts and we hope to have him with us soon.”
Coach Óscar Tabárez was quoted in the same article as refusing to set a date on Suárez’s return. Suffice to say, he’ll be desperate to have his star striker back as soon as possible, as Suárez is quite comfortably the most potent attacking force in their side.
Of course, his usual strike partner Edinson Cavani is no slouch, despite having struggled for form for a while. However, he lacks the world class unpredictability that enables Suárez to create something from nothing and single-handedly change a game. With Uruguay's defence very shaky and their midfield lacking in much creativity, the absence of such a player could prove very costly.
