Juventus’ midfield maestro has extended his stay in Turin by a couple of years.

Pirlo has reinvented himself since moving to Juve on a free transfer from AC Milan back in 2011, and has picked up three consecutive Serie A titles. In Antonio Conte's system he's given the freedom to work his creative magic from deep in the centre of midfield, knowing he can rely on the defensive industry of his midfield counterparts Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba to break up any opposition attacks before they get to him.
His impressive performances have ensured he'll still be an important part in Cesare Prandelli's Italy side at the World Cup, with Pirlo looking certain to start in the Azzurri's World Cup opener against England on Saturday.
