Iran vs. Nigeria, 2014 World Cup: Lineups

Iran and Nigeria are mostly as expected as they look to take a step towards making it out of Group F.

Iran and Nigeria have sprung few surprises as they line up to look to take a step out of Group F.

Nigeria will be heavy favourites against an untested Iran side, but with many of their opponents playing their club football in Iran, there is something of the unknown about their opponents who could spring a few surprises.

Ogenyi Onazi and John Mikel Obi comprise a solid-looking midfield for Nigeria, while Emmanuel Emenike is given the nod to start up front. Victor Moses and Ahmed Musa are on the flanks, with Ramon Azeez in behind.

iran meanwhile hand a start to goalkeeper Alireza Haghihi, with Reza Ghoochannejad leading the line up front. Veteran Javad Nekounam captains the side in midfield.
