World Cup gear watch: Australia 2-3 Netherlands, Spain 0-2 Chile, Cameroon 0-4 Croatia

Match day 7 had it all, from stunning upsets to sensational goals, it all happened in some really cool (and unique) gear.

The day's opening match was an absolute firecracker in terms of the game itself, the goals, and the kits on the players. Australia's home kits against the blue aways of the Netherlands made for a superb matchup in a pair of what is undoubtedly two of the best kits in the entire competition.

Spain finally had a chance to wear their deep red adidas home kits. Unfortunately for them though, it was a miserable day out and two goals to Chile later, the Spanish side effectively crashed out of the tournament. It's a shame that Chile were relegated to their white away kits because they are among the most boring in Brazil this summer.

Cameroon also had a rough time, letting the floodgates open against Croatia and their wonderful check kits. Cameroon wore a good-looking (but not great) home kit that actually looked better in the rain. The wet weather darkened Cameroon's home shirt and blended the base green color in with the darker pattern that covers it.

The Boots

Tim Cahill scored arguably the goal of the tournament thus far (and one that will definitely be difficult to top) wearing a pair of Warrior's speed boot, the Superheat, in the White / Metallic Gold / Shocking Orange colorway.

Cameroon goalkeeper Charles Itandje let in four goals to Croatia but did so while wearing a boot that is most definitely unique to this World Cup. The former Liverpool, Lens, and Red Star goalkeeper donned a pair of adidas Predator Lethal Zones in a black and hot pink colorway. The boots made their debut some seven months ago but the launch (along with a number of other black adidas boots) were buried by the much brighter and more popular Samba Pack LZ.

Spain v. Chile was heavy on the Battle Pack as the two nations fought it out on the field. Chile's Francisco Silva donned the Nitrocharge boots from the collection while Spain's Xabi Alonso wore the Predator Instinct.
