Italy bring back Ignazio Abate while Costa Rica keep back three
Gabriel Paletta has been dropped from the Italy side, with Ignazio Ibate coming in to take his place, while Costa Rica stick with their formula that defeated Uruguay.

Italy coach Cesare Prandelli has made some defensive changes for their game against Costa Rica, with Gabriel Paletta unsurprisingly being dropped, and Giorgio Chiellini moving into central defence.
Matteo Darmian moves across to left-back to take his spot, while Ignazio Abate comes in at right-back. Italy are otherwise seemingly unchanged, using a narrow 4-3-3 with Claudio Marchisio on the left.
