Mexico 3, Croatia 1: El Tri into the knockouts

Mexico coach Miguel Herrera has made no changes to his starting lineup for the third consecutive World Cup match. El Tri start with the same formation and personnel they've used through their campaign so far against Croatia, knowing that a draw would be enough to send them into the knockout stages.

Meanwhile Croatia boss Niko Kovač -- whose side needs to win to progress, unless Brazil somehow lose to Cameroon -- has made one alteration to his lineup. Fullback Šime Vrsaljko has been reintroduced after sitting out the last match, with attacking midfielder Sammir dropping out. That will probably mean Danijel Pranjić will shift from his position on the left of defence to a central midfield role.

Croatia starting lineup (4-3-3): Stipe Pletikosa; Šime Vrsaljko, Dejan Lovren, Vedran Ćorluka, Darijo Srna; Luka Modrić, Danijel Pranjić, Ivan Rakitić; Ivica Olić, Mario Mandžukić, Ivan Perišić.

Mexico starting lineup (3-5-2): Guillermo Ochoa; Héctor Moreno, Rafael Márquez, Francisco "Maza" Rodríguez; Miguel Layún, Andrés Guardado, José Juan Vázquez, Héctor Herrera, Paul Aguilar; Giovani dos Santos, Oribe Peralta
