Italy played poorly in their last match against Costa Rica, falling to the CONCACAF nation 1-0. It's not totally uncommon for the Italians to struggle in their second group stage match, and they've spent the last few days exuding confidence in their ability to turn things around in the final game. There are reports floating around that Cesare Prandelli could change his tactics again for the match, potentially moving to a 4-1-4-1.
Daniele de Rossi is not expected to play for Italy as he’s carrying an injury, leaving Prandelli to decide whether to go with Thiago Motta or a more aggressive lineup with Claudio Marchisio and Marco Verratti in the midfield.
Uruguay are riding high thanks to a 2-1 win over England that saw Luis Suarez return to the lineup after missing the first match as he recovered from a knee injury. Suarez was his usual lethal self, giving Uruguay the lead and then netting a second late to secure the three points for his nation as they eliminated England.
Diego Lugano remains doubtful with a knee injury, while Alvaro Pereira will have to pass a concussion test before being allowed to play.
