As you may have recognized by now, adidas love to create special editions of their F50 adizero boots for star man Lionel Messi. From his Ballon d'Or trophies to his goal record and everything else in between, it has all been immortalized on the Barcelona & Argentina player's feet. Today, however, is a little bit different with adidas saying "happy 27th birthday" to Messi with a pair of boots that he will wear for only one day.

The new boots are a combination of Messi's last Samba F50 boots and the Battle Pack variation that he has been wearing in this World Cup. They bear the same pattern but are much colorful than the white, black, and blue pair that Messi has scored twice in at this World Cup.

Messi will wear the boots in training today and that's it. He will return to the Battle Pack F50 for Argentina's final group stage match against Nigeria on Wednesday.
