The Ivory Coast were two minutes away from making the Round of 16 in the World Cup for the first time in the country's history. They were drawn into the Group of Death in the last two World Cups, but they were expected to progress from their group this time around. Greece score dramatic 93rd minute penalty to qualify for knockout rounds

Samaras, the man who was fouled, stepped up to the spot, buried the penalty, and incited a celebration that was as great as you’d expect.
That goal sends Greece into a knockout round game against Costa Rica. They go to the Round of 16 for the first in their history after a number of failed attempts. Most expected them to finish in last place in this group, but they've stunned everyone by scoring two goals against the Ivory Coast and finding a way to finish second in Group C, behind Colombia.
