After four goals in his first three World Cup games at the tender age of 22, Neymar Jr is making an incredible splash at this summer's World Cup in Brazil. The Barcelona man is representing the host nation and it was his goals that really helped Brazil seal a Round of 16 spot in their quest to add a sixth start to their crest.
Neymar given golden boots to match Brazil Golden Boy status

For the opening round of matches, Neymar was scoring goals in the Hyper Punch / Metallic Gold Coin / Black / Volt Hypervenom boots. For the rest of the tournament, that will change as Nike have released a special boot for a special player. Neymar will still wear the Hypervenom but in a bespoke gold colorway.
Speaking about the new release, Denis Dekovic, Nike Football’s Design Directer said:
”When we met with Neymar he told us that when he was 12 he used to spray paint his boots gold. He said that he always wanted a pair of gold boots but that he couldn’t find them anywhere. So we took that insight and decided this summer would be the perfect moment to create this boot for him.
“The biggest challenge was getting the gold tone perfect so it had the right spray-painted look. We worked closely with Neymar to get it as close to how he remembered the color when he would apply it as a kid. We’re all delighted with the results and can’t wait to see it on pitch.”
The boots feature some nice design cues on the insole that reference Neymar's story and are paired with a metallic gold upper. They will be on sale later this week and will make their on-pitch debut when Brazil take on Chile this Saturday in Belo Horizonte.
