World Cup gear watch: Nigeria 2-3 Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina 3-1 Iran, Honduras 0-3 Switzerland, Ecuador 0-0 France

What was easily the match of the day by some margin also had the best kit matchup of the day as Argentina and Nigeria both faced off in their adidas home kits. The former was the better one by a large distance but Nigeria's two-tone green kits aren't too shabby either.

Bosnia and Herzegovina ended their first World Cup on a high note despite failing to make the knockout rounds as they recorded a historic first win in the competition, beating Iran 3-1.

Switzerland secured a rousing 3-0 win over bottom-of-the-group Honduras thanks to a Xherdan Shaqiri hat trick. The Swiss side, as a whole, weren't incredible by any stretch of the imagination, but like their kits compared to those of Honduras, it wasn't even a contest.

No matter how hard you look at them, Ecuador's kits really are not good at all. France's away kits, on the other hand, are sublime. The quality of those kits didn't translate to the pitch though as France missed sitters and easy chances on their way to a 0-0 draw.

While the match between Argentina and Nigeria was an absolute firecracker, the boot spotting provided no real surprised. There were plenty of Nike, Puma, and adidas boots to go around but it was Nigeria and CSKA Moscow's Ahmed Musa that (almost) stole the show from Lionel Messi in his Nike Mercurial Superfly IV boots.

Iran's Ashkan Dejagah provided the best boot spot of the Iran v. Bosnia and Herzegovina match as he played in a very clean pair of white and black NikeID Mercurial Vapor IX boots.

Like Nigeria and Argentina, Switzerland v. Honduras as full of Nike summer colorways, Puma Tricks, and adidas Battle Pack. And just like in the morning match, it was the Nike Mercurial Superfly IV that did the business again as Xherdan Shaqiri's hat trick sealed a Swiss spot in the round of 16.

Antonio Valencia turned up for Ecuador's match v. France in a pair of Nike Tiempo Legend V boots in their launch colorway. Unfortunately for France's Lucas Digne, the player saw and felt a bit too much of Valencia's boots as the Ecuador and Manchester United man's studs slid over the ball and across Digne's leg.
