Well this makes things interesting: Belgium are down to ten men against South Korea after Steven Defour's ridiculous foul against Kim Shin-Wook.
Belgium down to 10 with Steven Defour dismissed
Referee Ben Williams had little choice after seeing the foul -- it's pretty horrendous, studs up into the shins, and Defour will be banned for at least one match for violent conduct.
With the match still in the balance at 0-0 and the Red Devils both playing backups and down a man, South Korea now have every chance of getting something from this match; if so (and if Algeria can get win against Russia, which currently looks difficult), we might not see Belgium top Group H after all.
No matter what, however, this is unlikely to impact Belgium's lineup in the next round: Defour is not a regular starter and was only on the pitch thanks to Marc Wilmots rotating his squad.
