Update: Brazil sneak into quarterfinals on penalties

Both Brazil and Chile have made one change to their starting lineups as their meeting in Belo Horizonte gets the knockout stages underway.

For Brazil, Fernandinho replaces the unimpressive Paulinho in the midfield pivot. He’ll play alongside Luiz Gustavo, while attackers Hulk and Fred both retain their places despite poor performances to date.

Arturo Vidal returns in Chile's only change, with attacking midfielder Felipe Gutiérrez dropping to the bench for Jorge Sampaoli's side. The change comes as no real surprise, with Vidal seemingly only left out of their final group game against the Netherlands as a fitness precaution. Alexis Sánchez and Eduardo Vargas continue to spearhead their attack.

Brazil starting lineup (4-2-3-1): Júlio César; Marcelo, David Luiz, Thiago Silva, Dani Alves; Luiz Gustavo, Fernandinho; Neymar, Oscar, Hulk; Fred.

Chile starting lineup (3-4-1-2): Claudio Bravo; Gonzalo Jara, Gary Medel, Francisco Silva; Eugenio Mena, Marcelo Díaz, Charles Aránguiz, Mauricio Isla; Arturo Vidal; Eduardo Vargas, Alexis Sánchez.
