Julio Cesar has won the Champions League, the Club World Cup, Copa America and Serie A five times. Suffice to say, he's had a pretty amazing career.
Julio Cesar cries as he says goodbye to Toronto FC
Juli Cesar is crying ... again.
And yet, it was little ol' Toronto FC that made such an impression on him.
After being left for dead by Queens Park Rangers, who buried him on the bench, Cesar’s career looked nearly dead. But three months with TFC, a spell that lasted all of seven matches, helped re-start his career and give him a chance to shine for Brazil at this summer’s World Cup.
Cesar was well aware of what TFC gave him, and the people there that helped him, and when he had to bid goodbye to the club, things got emotional.
Then again, Cesar cries a lot. Like a lot a lot. Seriously, a lot.
But still, this is a club that he was at for so short, and yet he’s connected with them. They connected with him. And when he’s in between the sticks at the World Cup, you can bet there will be a group of players in Toronto cheering him on.
