Man of the Match is a very prestigious honor that comes with a bottle of champagne and the chance to hold your performance over the heads of everyone else in the dressing room. It’s a big deal.
World Cup Man of the Match to be decided by fans on Twitter
Now we are in charge of who gets the bottle of champagne and bragging rights.

And now it will be chosen by the fans.
FIFA is going to let fans on Twitter vote for Man of the Match at the World Cup. That's right, now you are in charge of which player gets drunk on a bottle of champagne and gets to look superior to all of his teammates.
The downside is that Man of the Match has been used by pundits and fans to prove that a player was excellent in a certain match. Now a bunch of drunkards on Twitter will be deciding who Man of the Match is so that’s not really proof of anything now. We’ll actually have to watch the match to make these claims now.
But still, Man of the Match is in our hands. We choose the winner.
My vote is for Zlatan. For every match.
