AC Milan have announced the signing of centre-back Adil Rami from Spanish club Valencia. The 28-year-old spent the latter half of last season on loan at the San Siro, and impressed sufficiently to have the deal made permanent by the rossoneri. He has signed a three-year deal:

Rami is a good signing for Milan, especially given that he's set them back a little over €4 million. He's not a world class defender, but he's certainly better than Cristián Zapata and Philippe Mexès who featured regularly last term. In the upcoming campaign it's possible he'll be paired with another new arrival at the back, with veteran Alex having joined from Paris Saint-Germain.
