Chelsea have announced that they have reached an agreement with Atlético Madrid to buy their Brazilian fullback Filipe Luis, in a deal believed to be worth around £20 million.
Chelsea reach agreement with Atlético Madrid for Filipe Luis
The Brazilian fullback is poised to join Chelsea for around £20 million.

Luis has been a regular in the Atléti team that won La Liga last season, and has made over a century of appearances for the club since joining from Deportivo La Coruña in 2010. However, it now seems highly unlikely he'll be pulling on the red and white shirt again, as he only has to agree personal terms before completing his move to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea had been in the market for a left-back since the departure of Ashley Cole to AS Roma in the summer, and in Luis, they've got one of the best around. At 28 years old, he's not exactly a long-term investment, but will likely be a regular feature in the Blues' first team next season, allowing César Azpilicueta to shuffle over to his more natural right side.
If completed, Luis would be Chelsea's second purchase from the Spanish title holders this summer -- they've already announced the signing of striker Diego Costa.
