2014/15 Juventus home and away kits are Nike’s last dance with the Old Lady

Some nine months ago, Juventus and adidas announced a new six year kit deal that would see the brand that has recently added anchester United to its ranks take on the Italian giants for six years. The deal will go into effect at the end of the 2014/15 season, when Nike's 12 year run with Juve comes to an end. To say goodbye, Nike have made sure that the club's final pair of kits with the swoosh looked good.

The new home kit features the traditional bianconeri stripes that Juventus have been using for more than a century, having been inspired by Notts County way back when. This year, the stripes are slightly wider than in kits of the past, creating a bit more white space in between the black stripes. The home shirt features a stylish black polo collar with a deep V pocket that’s backed in black. Nike say that the neckline is inspired by classic Juventus shirts of the past.

The pennant tab that appears on the inside of the neck on Juve’s home shirt features the club’s fan-selected motto of “Fino alla fine” (“Until the end” in English) in black on a white background. The inside of the collar also features a strip of blue and yellow, connecting the home shirt to the away. The shirt is paired with white shorts that bear a thin black stripe running up the legs and white socks that feature a thick black band at the top.

The away shirt is blue with yellow accents, showing off the colors featured on Turin’s coat of arms. The body of the home shirt is almost entirely blue save for a series of stars that emanate from the crest, created using a series of horizontal tonal stripes that run across the chest. The shirt features yellow accents around the crew neck collar and sleeve cuffs while tying together with the home shirt using the same pennant tab and a strip of black and white on the inside of the neck.

The away kit comes with blue shorts and blue socks. The socks, like the home kit, feature a thick band of color at the top but this time, they are yellow.
