Originally introduced last February, the Samba Primeknit from adidas made waves in the marketplace by officially becoming the first knit soccer boot available for sale. The first version, featuring a multicolor design based on the colors of the Samba Pack series that adidas had unveiled just a few months earlier, was available as a limited release and sold out quickly.
adidas Primeknit boot gets Battle Pack-inspired upgrade

It didn’t see much action on the pitch after its unveiling, appearing for only one match on the feet of then-Liverpool man Luis Suarez. The Uruguayan striker scored the first ever goal in a knitted boot as Liverpool rolled past Manchester United by a score of 0-3 at Old Trafford.
The Primeknit features a one-piece, single-layer upper constructed of durable yarns knit together to provide comfort and stability. The upper was is coated to make the boots water resistant and used the F50 adizero’s Sprintframe outsole and stud pattern.
After a few months of silence on the knit front as the Nike Magista made its impact on the World Cup, adidas are back with a new colorway for the Primeknit, inspired by the boots that adidas players wore during the summer tournament. The new boot is technically the same as the previous version save for a striking new, desaturated upper design. The new boot features black, white, and navy blue yarn that combine with small Solar Red accents and a white outsole for an unmistakable and classy look.
The newest version of the boot was limited to just 500 pairs. Good luck trying to get your hands on and feet in one, however, as the entire lot sold out in no time.
