Atlético Madrid have confirmed an agreement with Real Sociedad for the transfer of Antoine Griezmann. The contract will be signed after Griezmann completes his medical.

Barring a similar incident as occurred between Loïc Rémy and Liverpool -- the Reds pulled out of the transfer after potential problems were brought to light during his medical -- Griezmann should be pictured holding an Atléti shirt within the next couple days. That's great for the La Liga title-holders, as thus far this season they've already lost David Villa and Diego Costa, who scored 40 goals combined in league play.
Griezmann should help make up for those losses. He's just 23, but he's been a regular for Real Sociedad for the past four seasons. Last season he really lit up the pitch, scoring 19 goals in all competitions and earning himself his first call up to the France senior side. Didier Deschamps took him to Brazil, where he appeared in all five of France's World Cup games.
On his own, Griezmann won’t make up for the loss of Diego Costa. He can play as a center forward, but he’s primarily a left winger. He’s extremely quick and has terrific technical skills, controlling the ball and dribbling through defenses.
