Neymar has a special message for Brazil fans on Facebook
Injured star issues statement thanking fans for well wishes and urging them to now support his teammates.

Neymar's injury will keep him out of today's World Cup semifinal between Brazil and Germany (4 p.m. ET today, ESPN), but that doesn't mean the star player isn't trying to do his part to help his teammates. Neymar released this statement via his Facebook page urging fans to support the Selecao and thanking them for the outpouring of well-wishes he's received since suffering a broken back in Brazil's quarterfinal win over Colombia:
I can’t thank all the affection and the thousands of messages of support I have received since Friday ...
I wanted to be able to speak more than one language to thank everyone.
Followed, or tried to follow everything that was published ... were these messages that made these last days less painful.
Today I’m going to watch the Brazil game against Germany on the outside. I’m going to be one more among the 200 million fans and I know how important it is for those guys inside our country, support our cheerleaders!!
That’s why I wanted to do a thank you to everyone who sent their positive energy for me and also I wanted to ask you to twist together until the last second because I want very, very much to be with everyone (fans and my teammates) next Sunday in the field ... at the maracana.
God is faithful!!
Neymar had been among the tournament’s standout players before Juan Zuniga kneed him in the back. X-rays ultimately revealed that Neymar had suffered a fractured vertebra.
