World Cup gear watch: Brazil 1-7 Germany

Brazil crashed out of the 2014 World Cup in every sense of the word with a shocking 1-7 defeat to a Germany side that ran riot on the hosts in the first half. The home side once again wore their canary yellow home kits for the match but were allowed to return to their traditional blue shorts after being forced to wear white in the last match. Germany wore their gorgeous away kits for the second time in the tournament, scoring five of their seven goals before the halftime whistle before adding an extra pair after the break.

Despite all of the goals that were score in Belo Horizonte on Tuesday evening, including a six minute stretch before the half hour mark that saw the Germans score four, Bastian Schweinsteiger was not able to hit the back of the net. The Bayern Munich midfielder has not scored for his country since 2011 but that didn't stop him from having a productive day out.

Schweinsteiger has been training for matches in a custom pair of adidas Battle Pack F50 adizero boots but has not turned out for matches in them. Instead, the midfield man is still wearing a custom set of adidas' Earth Pack F50s with a custom leather upper. He will take them into the finals against either Argentina or the Netherlands, depending on who wins the second semifinal match.
