Cambridge scored a great team (and hilarious) own goal

If you’re going to score an own goal, do it as a team.

Good passing! You kicked the ball from your foot to a teammates foot and WHOOPS! It’s in the wrong goal.

Making matters worse for Cambridge, this proved to be the winning goal for Portsmouth ... and Pompey were down a man at the time.

Portsmouth went ahead 1-0, but a red card reduced them to 10 men. That’s when Cambridge put the ball in their own net, and while they did manage a goal to bring themselves within a goal, that’s all they managed.

“How’d you lose?”

“We shot the ball off ourselves and into our own men while up a man.”
