Lincoln City beat league leaders thanks to jelly babies tactics

Lincoln City had a big match on tap, with a trip to league leaders Barnet a chance to make their case as one of the best teams in the Conference Premier (fifth division). But the bus to London never showed up so the team had to find their own way to the city and in the scramble to get to London they forgot something -- their tactics board.

So manager Gary Simpson decided to use jelly babies.

And it worked. Lincoln City beat Barnet, so get used to jelly babies tactics.

“If we can keep winning I will do whatever is necessary,” Simpson told BBC Radio Lincolnshire.

And if it’s good enough for the senior team, it’s good enough for the U-10’s.

Rumor has it that Lincoln City are the most popular club in England for players under the age of 12.
