Jermaine Jones has been nothing if not entertaining over the past few months. Whether it's scoring a great goal against Portugal or taking pictures with celebrities all over Los Angeles, the United States international has shown an ability to bring smiles to the faces of fans. With reports circulating that he turned recently down a lucrative contract from the Chicago Fire, Jones delivered one more time.
Jermaine Jones never fails to entertain
USMNT midfielder seems to take issue with rumors he turned down a Chicago Fire contract offer, but it’s frankly a little hard to tell.

Good Morning my fans! The offer of chicago fire honors me! There are roomers in the news. But all the figures mentioned are not the truth.
— Jermaine Jones (@Jermainejunior) August 2, 2014 English is not Jones’ first language so it’s probably better to not try to parse too much from this tweet. But the German-born midfielder does seem to be attempting to take issue with some of the particulars, specifically that he was offered $6 million over the next 2.5 seasons.
Beyond that, though, it’s not entirely clear what he’s trying to say. Might he still be willing to play for the Fire? Does he have other plans? Who knows?
