Mario Balotelli isn't a Liverpool player quite yet, but the move is as good as done. The BBC are reporting that Liverpool have agreed to a £16m fee to sign Balotelli from AC Milan, while the rossoneri have announced that Balotelli has said his final goodbyes to his teammates and the staff at the club.

Heading to Liverpool
Liverpool were always going to spend big in this transfer window after securing UEFA Champions League football, but the sale of Luis Suarez has turned them into one of the biggest buyers in the world this summer. Instead of replacing Suarez with one star, the Reds have opted to buy a number of forwards, including Balotelli, Rickie Lambert, Divock Origi and Lazar Markovic. Origi is currently on loan to Lille, while Markovic will play more on the wing than up top this year.
Balotelli’s talent is undeniable and there’s a chance he could be the best striker in the Premier League, but he’s also gotten into serious clashes with managers and has had a negative effect on dressing rooms. Liverpool are gambling that they have the right setup to get the most out of Balotelli, and if they’re right, he’ll be an absolute steal at £16m.
