Celtic lost to Maribor in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League playoff, eliminating them from the competition.
Celtic mocked by Legia Warsaw after Champions League elimination

And no one was happier than Legia Warsaw.
— Legia Warszawa (@LegiaWarszawa) August 26, 2014 Legia beat Celtic, 6-1, in the previous round’s qualifier, only to have the result overturned because of an administrative error. Legia were knocked from the tournament, and Celtic got to advance to the next qualifying round against Maribor.
As you might imagine, Legia were not happy. They challenged Celtic to cede their spot, arguing that the Scottish club didn’t do a thing to deserve advancing. Celtic didn’t oblige.
So when Celtic lost to Maribor, at home to boot, there may not have been anyone than Legia. Justice has prevailed, in their minds, and they made sure everyone know it.
Now we can only hope that there really are football gods and Legia and Celtic will be drawn together in the Europa League.
