Tottenham Hotspur vs. Liverpool: Time, TV schedule and how to watch online

Liverpool will look to bounce back from their disappointing defeat to Manchester City by beating Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

After two games of the Premier League season, Tottenham Hotspur sit top of the table. Sure, the sample size is tiny, but five goals and two clean sheets under new boss Mauricio Pochettino has left Spurs optimistic of a good campaign. However, they'll have their toughest test yet on Sunday, with last season's runners-up Liverpool visiting White Hart Lane eager to make amends for their disappointing 3-1 defeat away at reigning champions Manchester City.

Key player - Mario Balotelli (Liverpool)

All eyes will be on Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli in this match, with the Italian set to make his debut for the Reds after completing his £16 million move from AC Milan. At his best, Balo is nigh-on unstoppable; capable of scoring and creating goals from all angles and ranges. He’s one of the few genuinely world class players Liverpool could have signed to replace Luis Suárez. The Tottenham defence will have to work extremely hard to keep him quiet.

Key matchup - Erik Lamela vs. Alberto Moreno

Liverpool summer signing Alberto Moreno failed to impress on his debut against Manchester City, and he’ll have to improve defensively to retain his place in the team. If he shakes off a knock in time to play against Spurs, his direct opponent will be tricky winger Erik Lamela, who is beginning to finally look comfortable in the Premier League after a nightmare first season. If he gets the chance to run in behind Moreno, he could cause havoc.

Tottenham Hotspur injuries and suspensions

Out: Kyle Walker (pelvis). In doubt: None.

Liverpool injuries and suspensions

Out: Fabio Borini (shoulder), Jon Flanagan (knee). In doubt: Glen Johnson (thigh), Alberto Moreno (ankle), Adam Lallana (knee) Martin Skrtel (knock).

Spurs' only definite absentee heading into the game is Kyle Walker, leaving Eric Dier and Kyle Naughton scrapping over a starting spot at right-back. Liverpool, however, will certainly be without both Fabio Borini and Jon Flanagan, while Glen Johnson, Alberto Moreno, Adam Lallana and Martin Skrtel are all in doubt.

Match Date/Time: Sunday, 1:30 p.m. local, 8:30 a.m. ET
