AC Milan have announced the signing of forward Fernando Torres from Chelsea. The Spanish striker has spent the last three seasons with the Blues, but failed to produce at the level seen during his time with Liverpool and Atlético Madrid.
AC Milan sign forward Fernando Torres from Chelsea
The once prolific striker leaves the Premier League after three disappointing seasons with Chelsea.

Reports came out early in the week that Torres had agreed to a two-year contract with the Rossoneri and was just waiting on the two clubs to agree to a fee for the transfer. Instead, he is going to Milan on a two-year loan, and by the time it is over, his contract with Chelsea will also have run out.
Torres was a goal scoring machine early in his career for Atlético Madrid before making the jump to the Premier League in 2007 signing with Liverpool. After four successful seasons with the Reds, Torres was sold to Chelsea for a then British transfer record of £50 million. The striker struggled to settle with the Blues though and never was able to reach the goal scoring heights seen at his previous clubs.
His failures to score became comical and it seemed as if no one would take him off of Chelsea’s hands. The Blues clearly moved on from Torres, signing Diego Costa this summer, but it looked like they would be stuck with Torres. That proved not to be the case.
The 30-year-old will now try to create a career renaissance in Italy as the club's replacement for Mario Balotelli.
