Stunningly, at the age of 35, Rafa Marquez is returning to Europe. He’ll join Serie A side Hellas Verona, his current club Leon announced.
Rafa Marquez moving to Hellas Verona
Who called 35-year-old Rafa Marquez going back to Europe?

When Marquez left Barcelona in 2010, he probably thought he was settling into a nice retirement spell with the New York Red Bulls. Instead, he became Major League Soccer’s biggest villain over two embarrassing seasons, revived his club and international career with a brilliant spell at Club Leon, and has now sealed a move back to Europe.
Marquez helped Leon to two league titles in Mexico and was a surprise star at the 2014 World Cup. He didn't look old in impressive performances against Croatia, Brazil, Cameroon and the Netherlands, and apparently did enough to rekindle interest in his services from abroad.
At Hellas, Marquez joins Luca Toni and Massimo Donati, a couple of other players on the ‘wrong’ side of 30 whose days at the highest level were thought to be done before they put together successful seasons in Verona.
