Steven Naismith has won today's Nice Guy Award, buying Everton season tickets and instructing they be given to unemployed people in Liverpool. They will go to job centers, where people are actively looking for employment, but have been unable to get a job.

”I come from Ayrshire in the west of Scotland and spent a lot of my life in Glasgow - a city that, at times, has suffered from high unemployment.
“Liverpool has a similar history and I am aware that, through no fault of their own, there are many unemployed in Liverpool trying hard to find a job who may not be able to afford a ticket. I thought this might be a small gesture to help those in that situation to enjoy a day out at one of our league matches. Hopefully it can bring some joy to many people.”
Naismith is a repeat winner of the Nice Guy Award. He already helps homeless shelters in Glasgow and Liverpool, helps injured military personnel try to get jobs and is an ambassador for Dyslexia Scotland. Now he's giving some unemployed people Everton tickets, hoping that for a day they can go to Goodison Park, smile and have a good time.
