The first goal of the 2. Bundesliga season was gorgeous

Welcome back, 2. Bundesliga!

Christof Koepsel

The 2. Bundesliga season has kicked off and OH MY GOD THERE’S ALREADY A GREAT GOAL.

The league season was 34 minutes old when Fortuna Dusseldorf’s Michael Liendl decided it was a good time to hit a perfect curling shot into the top corner from 25 yards like it was no big deal. Liendl had spent an entire offseason not play and storing up all his awesome. Some would try to disperse it throughout the season, using a little here and there, but Liendl decided “screw it, let’s max out the awesome on this one.” And thank heavens he did.

The season can only go downhill from here.
