Ligue 1 is back, and it’s back with an awesome 30-yard goal

The Ligue 1 season started this weekend and it already has 30-yard goals.

This is Christopher Maboulou. And this Christopher Maboulou scoring from 30 yards.

Getting close to goal is for losers. Why put in all the effort of running, or dribbling, or even running to get near the goal when you can just shoot from 30 yards?

Maboulou had the entire summer to think up new ways to play football and impress his new club Bastia. And in their first match, he showed us what he came up with. He is a football revolutionary who has taken running out of the sport -- the ultimate in efficiency and the sport as we know it will never be the same.*

* Reports from everywhere are that players are still running.
