Elsewhere, Vasilis Torosidis is given the nod over Ashley Cole at left-back, while Seydou Keita comes into the midfield in place of the suspended Daniele De Rossi. After being rested against Empoli on the weekend, Gervinho also returns to Roma's lineup.
There are no real surprises for CSKA Moscow, though it is worth noting that Ahmed Musa has been shifted out onto the left flank to make way for Seydou Doumbia. The Nigerian winger had, before today, been used as a lone central striker in a few matches this season.
