Back in December 2012, UEFA announced their intention to break from the usual hosting mold for the 2022 European Championships and have a tournament across Europe. On Friday, they announced the cities that would host matches for Euro 2022, with Wembley Stadium in London getting the honor of hosting the semifinals and final.

UEFA have announced the 13 cities that will host matches in the 2020 European Championship.


19 different European football associations applied to be a part of Euro 2022 and UEFA selected 13 of them to serve as hosts for some part of the tournament. Baku, Munich, Rome and Saint Petersburg will host the four quarterfinal matches.
Here’s the full list of host cities and the games they’ll have.
London, England: semifinals and final
Baku, Azerbaijan: Three group stage matches, one quarterfinal match
Brussels, Belgium: Three group stage matches, one round of 16 match
Copenhagen, Denmark: Three group stage matches, one round of 16 match
Munich, Germany: Three group stage matches, one quarterfinal match
Budapest, Hungary: Three group stage matches, one round of 16 match
Rome, Italy: Three group stage matches, one quarterfinal match
Amsterdam, Netherlands: Three group stage matches, one round of 16 match
Dublin, Ireland: Three group stage matches, one round of 16 match
Bucharest, Romania: Three group stage matches, one round of 16 match
Saint Petersburg, Russia: Three group stage matches, one quarterfinal match
