It's been a tough start to the league season for Real Madrid as they've lost two of their first three matches and find themselves in 13th, already six points behind Barcelona. While the title race is far from over, we've seen Los Blancos exposed in the midfield and defensively, which is certainly a cause for concern. After a solid performance in the Champions League, Madrid could use a strong league win to calm the doubters.
Deportivo La Coruña vs. Real Madrid live stream: How to watch La Liga online, TV schedule and more
Real Madrid will try to take the momentum from their Champions League win and turn their league form around against Depor.

Key Player: Iker Casillas (Real Madrid)
Iker Casillas is no long a world class goalkeeper. He's still good, still a guy that can start for most teams in the world, but he's showing his age. He's slowed down, his reflexes aren't as good as they used to be, and he fails to get to balls that he really should. Casillas is what he is now, so if he's going to continue to start ahead of Keylor Navas, he needs to step things up a bit. His defense needs his help, they need him to make a couple big saves when they make one of their patented errors. If he can't do that, the pressure on Carlo Ancelotti to start Navas will only grow.
Key Matchup: The Madrid defensive midfield vs. Depor’s attack
At this point it doesn't matter if Toni Kroos is playing out of position in a deeper, defensive midfield role. There's no other option, so Kroos is the man and he needs to do the job as best as he can. Madrid have struggled in their two league losses this season controlling the midfield, allowing teams to pick them apart far to easily. With the Madrid back line already being suspect, they need to support from the midfield and they just haven't been getting it. Things looks much better against Basel on Tuesday, so we'll have to see if Ancelotti is starting to get his team more organized.
Deportivo La Coruña injuries and suspensions
In Doubt: Luis Farina (fitness)
Real Madrid injuries and suspensions
In Doubt: Dani Carvajal (hamstring)
Dani Carvajal could make his return from a hamstring injury suffered during the last international break. If he’s not ready, or Ancelotti decides to not risk him just yet, Álvaro Arbeloa will likely continue at right back. Luis Farina missed Depor’s last match with a hip problem and is still a fitness concern for Saturday.
