It’s a week of bad free kicks and we are thankful

That is Cerro Poteno’s Julio Dos Santos. He is entirely incapable of hitting a football in the general direction that he is aiming for*.
* He probably could, seeing as he is a professional footballer, but it’s important that we focus in on the one moment that we have here and makes us all laugh.
The most remarkable part of it all is that it is a free kick. The ball is not moving, he has all the time in the world to compose himself and the expectations are extraordinarily low.
Shoot it at the goalkeeper? Fine.
Shoot it over the bar? Fine?
Miss the frame by three yards? Fine.
Hit it in front of goal where it’s easily cleared? Fine.
But he hit it 15 yards wide. It barely got off of the ground and nobody was within three yards of it. It was an exhibition in awfulness.
And yet it may not be the worst free kick of the week because this is Bad Free Kick Week and Johannes Meis hit a satellite.
