Joe Hart was benched by Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini against Hull City at the weekend, with Willy Caballero taking his place, and the Englishman doesn't seem particularly thrilled about it. However, Pellegrini has confirmed that Hart will return to face AS Roma in UEFA Champions League action.
Manchester City’s Joe Hart will return against AS Roma after benching
Joe Hart sounds a bit annoyed by his benching, but he’ll play for Manchester City against AS Roma.

Hart talked about his benching, and while he certainly didn’t say anything outlandish, there’s a hint of disappointment and perhaps agitation in his words. He’s being professional about getting benched, but he’s certainly not shrugging it off with no concerns.
“Of course I want to play every game, that is my nature, my professionalism. I am not the manager, just a player. I live by the decisions of our manager. Right now I am happy with what is going on at this club. We are fighting on all fronts. While I am welcome here, I am more than happy to stay and see where that takes me.”
The good news for Hart is that he’ll probably have every chance to hold off competition from Willy after the Brazilian turned in an average performance against Hull. Given how solid Hart was against Bayern Munich, it’s a tad strange that he’d be benched against Hull without being reassured that he is, indeed, first choice.
