Watch Angel Di Maria rip Germany apart with goal, 3 assists

Have yourself a day, Angel.

Lars Baron

Angel Di Maria lost the World Cup final, was unwanted by Real Madrid, signed a big money deal with Manchester United and then couldn’t win his first match with the Red Devils. Safe to say, it’s been a little up-and-down. But Wednesday was all up.

Argentina were playing Germany in a friendly, which just so happened to be a World Cup final rematch, and Di Maria decided to make it all about him.

First, it was a sublime assist with the outside of his boot.

Then, he added another assist. This one wasn’t as pretty, just a cross right onto the foot of an open teammate for a volley.

But simply two assists would not do, for he is Angel Di Maria and the best player on a pitch filled with amazing players. So he added a third assist. But that too would not do.

So he scored.

Just running in like it’s nothing a cooly chipping the goalkeeper. No big deal.

So to review: Argentina beat Germany 4-2 and Di Maria had a goal and three assists.

Alternative review: Di Maria is really wonderful.
