Bungay Town are an old club, founded in 1925, but also a very small club. Small as in they play in the Anglian Combination Division 2, which is the 13th flight of English football. Naturally, very few fans come to matches, but they have a solution: offer free mushrooms!
Club offers free mushrooms to fans who attend match
Ah yes, the ever-popular Mushroom Giveaway Day.

Any fan who attends their match on Saturday will get mushrooms.
“We have a supplier of mushrooms so we thought ‘why not? The former chairman is a mushroom grower’,” vice-chairman Shaun Cole told BBC Sport.
They did not specify how psychedelic the mushrooms are.
The offer is part of Non-League Day, an annual effort to get people out to see small teams play. Most of these teams are run by volunteers and can draw in the dozens, but with the international break meaning no Premier League or even Football League matches, the country pushes to get support for Non-League clubs. That includes offering free mushrooms.
Last season, Bungay Town gave 5p to fans who attended the match on Non-League Day and they increased attendance by 60-70%.
