China goalkeeper saves penalty after ball boy told him where to dive

Ball boy for MVP.

It’s one thing to be a good goalkeeper. There are lots of those. And while there are even fewer who are good at saving penalties, there are still a fair number out there.

But how many ball boys can tell a goalkeeper which way to dive on a penalty kick in a continental championship, convince the goalkeeper to actually do it and then get it right?

One. And he's a 12-year-old from Australia.

To makes matters better, that save proved crucial as China stunned Saudi Arabia, 1-0, in the Asian Cup. And the goalkeeper won Man of the Match to boot, presumably because the ball boy won MVP and the ball boy could only win one award.
