MLS Draft 2015 results: Live pick-by-pick updates from the SuperDraft

Follow along as the 20 MLS teams make their SuperDraft picks in Philadelphia.

All 20 teams are in Philadelphia and they’re ready for the 2015 MLS SuperDraft. The best players from college, and a few from elsewhere, are waiting to be picked and begin their professional careers.

This year’s doesn’t have quite the same excitement as there has been in past years. Part of that is because the homegrown player rule has taken some of the best prospects from the draft. The looming CBA negotiations play a part as well, as this is the smallest Generation adidas classes ever because so many players want to see how things change once there is a new CBA.

Still, the draft can be very valuable. The LA Galaxy nabbed Omar Gonzalez and A.J. DeLaGarza in the same draft, helping them win three of the last four MLS Cups. And the other team to capture MLS’s ultimate prize? Sporting Kansas City, who drafted Matt Besler, Chance Myers and Dom Dwyer. The MLS Draft isn’t as valuable as it used to be, but it’s still valuable.
